August in the Garden

I have very few rose blooms as my roses seem to be dormant - waiting for cooler weather I'm sure.  I do keep watering and the spell of daily rain kept them in good shape throughout July - no blooms though.  The blooms we did have were few and far between and very small.

My Plumeria - grown from seeds and two that were purchased as 3 feet tall stems from a Florida grower 3 years ago - are doing great!  My 3 year old ones are blooming for the first time.  I am so proud of them - they live in the garage with a heater on all winter long until I can bring them out again in the Spring.
